POETRY
I write poetry in my native language: Swedish. Native language is the gateway to our inner Self. Poetry, like visual art, is a bridge connecting souls.
The problem with poetry, if there is any, is language, the very heart of this beautiful, mysterious art form. We don't always understand each other's languages. Visual art is universal, we might experience an artwork from a foreign culture and understand it in our own personal way. But poetry written in a foreign language is hard to understand, if not impossible. I call myself a poet although I haven't published any of my poetry. Once I sent my poems to some publishers. Most of them didn't say much, except that they weren't interested. One publisher said I didn't fit in. This was great news. Poets are meant not to fit in. Poetry is written by outsiders for outsiders. This is the true nature of poetry. I've written poems all my life. I've also destroyed poems all my life. Now I am writing one poem a day, not destroying them but publishing them for myself, keeping them in my shelf next to the poetry of others. The power of poetry.

bildkonstnären påstod
han avbildade Gud
men det enda han ställde ut
var landskapsmåleri

poeten kom till insikt
ordens skönhet
men ingen förstod
vad han ville ha sagt
